What is Klarinotte?
Klarinotte is a powerful, privacy-first note-taking application inspired by tools like Obsidian — but running entirely in your browser. Your notes are stored locally using IndexedDB, with optional end-to-end encrypted sync.
It features rich markdown editing, wiki-style linking between notes, hierarchical tags, a graph view of note relationships, OCR for images, semantic search powered by on-device AI, and much more — all without sending your data to any server.
100% Private. All processing — including OCR and semantic search — happens on your device. No data leaves your browser unless you enable sync, in which case it's end-to-end encrypted before upload.
Platforms
Klarinotte works in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). You can also install it as a web app for a fullscreen experience with faster launch and offline support. On mobile, the interface is fully optimized for touch with auto-closing sidebar and a mobile markdown toolbar.
