The app itself is free to use locally — in your browser or as the desktop app — with no account and no limits. Your notes stay on your device: in your browser's local storage on the web, or in the app's local data folder on desktop. An account with end-to-end encrypted sync adds the tiers below.

Billing & Payments
Who processes payments for Pro?
Pro subscriptions are sold through Link, Stripe's checkout — Link is
the merchant of record for the transaction, not Klarinotte. Link handles VAT/GST/sales
tax compliance, sends your receipts and invoices, and lets you manage
or cancel your subscription at link.com. Your bank or card statement shows a
LINK.COM* Klarinotte.
Does paying for Pro affect the encryption of my notes?
No. Payment details are metadata handled entirely by Stripe and Link — they never touch your note content and have no effect on its end-to-end encryption. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
What happens to billing records if I delete my account?
Your active subscription is canceled. Stripe retains billing records (invoices, receipts) as legally required even after your Klarinotte account and encrypted notes are deleted — that's a compliance obligation of the payment processor, not something Klarinotte controls. See our Terms of Use for refund and dispute handling.
